Liz brings nearly 20 years of media planning and buying, client management, and business development experience to her role at Catalyst Media Design, a specialized media services firm she co-founded in 2009. She began her career in Phoenix building her media planning and buying skills at two local full-service advertising agencies before shifting her focus and residence, accepting a position in the account service team at Optimedia in New York City. In her role she served as liaison between the agency and key National accounts BMW and Land Rover, in addition to strategic research and coordination of multiple outside constituents to ensure best-in-class client service. Upon return to Phoenix, Liz joined RMG Marketing, Inc. where she continued her work in client management in a media environment. She rose quickly to the role of VP, Director of Account Services, overseeing her department’s work with such notable brands as IHOP, Weight Watchers, and State Farm. Her knowledge and experience with both traditional and direct response media campaigns brings value to cross-division clients and the firm’s overall service offerings. Liz is a two-time graduate of Arizona State University with a Bachelors degree in Business (Marketing) and Masters degree in Business Administration (Management). She is actively involved in her community serving multiple organizations including Valley Leadership, the Junior League of Phoenix where she serves as Vice Chair for the Community Leadership & Outreach Committee, and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) of Arizona. In 2015 Liz was named first runner up for Woman of the Year by LLS of Arizona for a 10-week fundraising effort that resulted in $40,000 in donations for the organization. In 2016 she received the Community Impact Award by Valley Leadership for her group’s work to increase awareness and participation in the Education Tax Credit. Liz lives in Scottsdale, Arizona with husband Jason and two daughters.
I’ve never bought into the idea that a good leader had to “play the part” or not be themselves to generate trust and buy-in from their team members. I believe good leadership, and trust in general, begins with being authentic, honest, and transparent. The greatest leaders I have known have always possessed these traits. No amount of pretending can ever replace smarts, passions, authenticity, drive and a steadiness on which people can rely.
– Liz Scott on Leadership
